The Champlain Publishing staff is thrilled to be hosting campus events this semester, and we want each and every one of you to come join us!
Just last week we hosted a launch party for the 18th edition of Champlain’s favorite literary magazine, Willard & Maple. Some exciting new developments have brought Champlain Publishing and Willard & Maple closer than ever before. CCPI Intern Dominic Rizzo is thriving in his role as W&M’s Editor in Chief alongside new Assistant Editor Sara Martin. The team is hard at work putting together Volume 19. Want to be involved? Contact Dominic or Sara for more details!
You can also stay involved with the hip happenings of Champlain Publishing by hanging out with us at some of our upcoming events. During Family Weekend September 30 and October 1, join us for the launch event for new issue of Weathervane. Weathervane is produced by CCM Dean Paula Willoquet-Maricondi and Champlain Publishing Managing Editor Kim MacQueen, and features details on all the new and interesting people and projects taking place within the Division of Communication and Creative Media.
We can’t wait to show you all what we’ve cooked up this semester at the Weathervane Launch. Watch this space for specific event details.
Can’t get enough of us? We’ll be back on that very next Monday, October 3, to host renowned poet and novelist Kim Addonizio. Join us for “An Evening with Kim Addonizio: Poetry & Memoir,” where you’ll hear Kim read from two of her books, Mortal Trash: Poems and Bukowski in a Sundress: Confessions from a Writing Life.
Kim will be speaking at 7PM in the Alumni Auditorium as a part of the CCM Speaker Series, which brings all kinds of talented and successful individuals to speak to Champlain students. Trust us, this isn’t something you want to miss out on. Kim is the author of twelve books and has been called “one of our nation’s most provocative and edgy poets.” Check out her website to find out more.
CCPI Event Coordinator Michelle Nguyen and her team have been working hard to put all of our events together, and we just know they’re going to be awesome. See you there!
